The first joint seminar was attended by 40 growers and experts in the olive oil industry, including 20 Palestinians and 20 Israelis. The five-day seminar focused on olive growing and the production of quality oil, and featured keynote speakers including Prof. Shimon Lavee, chairman of the International Olive Oil Council; Prof. Maurizio Servalli , Perugia University; Dr. Fathi Abed al-Hadi, a guide of the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture; Fares al-Gabi, professional
advisor to the Palestinian Olive Council; and Dr. Zohar Kerem, the Faculty of Agriculture in the Hebrew University.

 

 

November 2005
A seminar on the production and marketing of organic olive oil was attended by 80 Palestinia n and Israeli growers and various olive oil experts.  Ms. Mitsumi Sakuyoshi, a Japanese expert on the growing and marketing of organic foods, gave a lecture on the marketing of organic olive oil in Japan, sponsored by the JETRO organization.

 

 

March 2006
40 Palestinian members attended in the annual meeting of Israeli olive growers in Aviel, dealing with biochemical properties, taste and aroma of olive oil.

  

 

 

 

March 2007

A meeting of 70 Israeli and Palestinian experts and growers was held in Kibbutz Metzer.  Olives of Peace brand has been launched at a ceremony honored by attendance of  the Japanese ambassador, Mr. Yoshinori Katori,  the industrialist Stef Wertheimer, and Professor Maurizio Servalli
